Love is the flower you’ve got to let grow.

— John Lennon

Thanks for diggin’ deep - you are about to get to know the owner a bit better!

The Bloom Room was a vision that Alley, owner and designer, had dreamt up for quite some time.
The location in Curtis Park was everything she needed to spark creativity, welcome community members to do the same, and bring a creative and funky light to this lovely Sacramento neighborhood.

Before The Bloom Room, Alley, a Sacramento native, has been in the wedding and event industry for over 9 years. She managed weddings at multiple venues in the area, worked in catering, and then honed in on her favorite part of the event world - floral design! She grew her business from side hustle to a bustling business with the new addition of The Bloom Room - a creative space where anyone can host or attend a workshop, dream up a photo shoot, buy flowers around each holiday, or book wedding services.

Alley’s floral skills come from a background in event planning (BS in Hospitality & Event Management), her Waldorf education, and her passion for design. Alley studied at The Southern California School of Floral Design. From there she has worked in retail floral, an event design studio, and freelanced under wonderful mentors. Her strengths in the event industry have always been the logistics, mechanics, and organization but her true love lies in the pretty details, the displays that make your wedding guests gasp. Her passion for florals was always about finding something that breaks the mold, gets beyond the most popular Pinterest images, and feels authentic to the client or recipient.

When Alley is not flowering in the studio, you can catch her out and about, thrifting, sipping an iced coffee around town, with her sidekick Betty.
